Founded in 1991 and based in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia, Hamilton Lane oversees more than $46 billion in private equity commitments by institutional investors, including approximately $7 billion of discretionary assets under management.

North Atlantic Capital

Portland, Maine based North Atlantic Capital is an expansion stage private equity firm investing primarily in the information technology, communications, and tech-enabled business service companies. Established in 1986, North Atlantic manages a pool of capital in excess of $150 million, and is currently investing North Atlantic Venture Fund III, raised in 2001.

Sierra Ventures

Sierra Ventures is a private venture capital firm focusing its investments across all areas of the Information Technology sectors from semiconductors to enterprise software. Sierra Ventures works with entrepreneurs and management teams to originate and build new companies into large, profitable businesses. Sierra Ventures manages eight venture capital partnerships, which together have more than $1.1 billion of committed capital.

Lucent Venture Partners

Lucent Venture Partners is the venture capital subsidiary of Lucent Technologies with offices in Murray Hill, New Jersey. Formed in 1998, the group invests in early-stage technology companies in high-growth communications areas such as optical, data and wireless networking, semiconductors, communications software, professional services and e-commerce.

New York State Common Retirement Fund

The New York State Retirement System represents 971,000 members and retirees, and currently has assets of about $120 billion. The fund, which is the second largest public pension fund in the United States, invests in a variety of securities, including public and private equity, real estate and fixed income. The $364 million in-state investment program is part of the private equity portfolio.
